What is rail the band?

Rail is a rock band that was formed in San Francisco, California in the early 1970s. The band consists of keyboardist Lou DeMartino, guitarist Norman Landsberg, bassist Harvey Mandel, and drummer John Stahely. They are known for their bluesy rock sound and high-energy live performances.

Rail released their first album, "Rail" in 1971 and garnered critical acclaim for their live shows, opening for acts such as Led Zeppelin and Santana. Their second album, "Put A Record On" followed in 1973, but the band disbanded shortly after.

In 2008, Rail reunited and released their third album, "Tales from the Kingdom of Fife". They continue to tour and perform to this day, with a loyal fan base.
